BAe Jetstream 41

The Jetstream 41 is a twin turboprop regional airliner or feederliner, designed and manufactured by British Aerospace. The company aspired to produce an aircraft that was able to compete with contemporary airliners, such as the Saab 340 or Dornier 328, subsequently opting to re-envision the predecessing Jetstream 31, which was a success in the aviation at the time it entered service. Developments begun in the late 1980s, starting with establishing a new fuselage and wing design, while also extending these elements when compared to the Jetstream 31. In order to accommodate for additional baggage space, a low-wing configuration was encorporated in the design, with wing-mounted twin Allied Signal TPE331 powerplants. The aircraft was designated Jetstream 41, and was able to seat up to 29 passengers, going to production in 1992.
