Boeing 717

The Boeing 717 is a twinjet narrow-body airliner. Though now known as the Boeing 717, the airliner was originally developed under the designation MD-95 by McDonnell Douglas. The two companies merged in 1997, just before productions for the aircraft commenced, with the first models entering service already designated as the Boeing 717. The design incorporated the FADEC system, controlling the Rolls-Royce BR715 engines mounted on the rear fuselage, offering enhanced performance and more control over the aircraft. The cabin configuration comprises single-aisle seating exclusively. The aircraft remains in service, and is primarily utilised by airlines such as Delta Air Lines or QuantasLink.
