Boeing 737-500

The Boeing 737 is a narrow-body aircraft produced by Boeing Commercial Airplanes in 1966. Boeing identified a need for a short-haul aircraft to complement the larger 727 airliner, utilised for short and thin routes. The company already envisioned a similar concept, which served as the base for the new aircraft design. The most significant development from the initial design was the relocated engines, which were now mounted on the wings rather than at the rear fuselage. This benefited the aircraft in several ways, allowing for a lighter wing structure, added cabin space for passenger seating, and improved aerodynamics. The 737-500 aircraft was the last model in the second generation of the 737 line and was promoted as the replacement of the 737-200 model, introduced in 1987. The 737-500 was optimised for more economical operation and fuel efficiency, carrying fewer passengers than its direct predecessor.

Engineers can complete all maintenance tasks on the aircraft easier than ever before with our pre-designed aviation tool kits. All kits include BAHCO tools and tool foam inserts for maximum tool control.
