Bombardier (Business) Learjet 55

Introduced in 1981, the Learjet 55, -also known as Longhorn,- is a small twin-engine business jet, developed and manufactured by Learjet. The Learjet 55 was announced as part of the 50 Series, along with the Learjet 54 and 56, however these models never went to production. The design for the Learjet 50 Series comprised of a low-wing cantilever monoplane configuration, with winglets and a T-tail. The retractable landing gear and powerful Garrett TFE731-3A-2B engines provided a smooth flying experience, however additional variants were soon developed to further improve performance.
