Bombardier (Regional) Dash 8-Q400

The De Havilland Canada DHC-8, now known as the Bombardier Dash 8, is a series of turboprop regional airliners, designed and introduced by de Havilland Canada in 1984. The Dash 8 was developed based on the predecessing Dash 7, with improved performance as a result of Pratt & Whitney Canada PW123 engines being utilised. The series 400 of the Dash 8 family comprised of a further extended fuselage, with a re-designed T-tail, with the first variants entering service in 2000. The 8-Q400 variant was an improved and even further stretched airliner, featuring the ANVS system and offering more passenger seating than the previous models. De Havilland Canada was later bought by Boeing in 1988, then by Bombardier in 1992, during these times the aircraft was renamed accordingly.
