Learjet 35/36

Following the success of the Learjet 25 series, the company had started experimenting with creating a new design around 1970, in which they replaced the CJ610 turbojet engine with the TFE 731. The results were a significant decrease in noise levels, along with increased power. Learjet elected the new design as the Learjet 35, instead of a variant to the 25 series. The Learjet 35 was used as a business jet and military transport aircraft, just like it’s successor the Learjet 36. The most distinctive difference in the 36’s design was the larger fuselage tank, in order to extend the range with 500 miles, while sacrificing almost 20 inches in the passenger’s seating area.
