The twin-engine Beechcraft King Air 200 was developed based on the predecessing King Air 100, however with amendments made to the rear fuselage as well as to the overall structure, in order to accommodate for a T-tail and higher pressurization. The Beechcraft King Air 200 used a Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-42 engine, with added fuel capacity. The aircraft was used mainly for civil utility used, with a limited number of variants purchased by the US military.
