Cirrus SR22T

The Cirrus SR22T is Cirrus Aircraft’s response to concerns about the future of leaded avgas. Teledyne Continental Motors developed the TSIO-550K engine for the SR22T, aiming for compatibility with future unleaded fuels like 94UL. This engine has lower-compression cylinders, ensuring safe operation with minimal performance loss if future avgas has 94-octane rating. Despite this adjustment, the TSIO-550K still delivers 315 horsepower at 2,500 rpm, thanks to its dual turbochargers.

The SR22T offers simplified engine management and maintains robust performance, making it an attractive option for pilots seeking a modern aircraft ready for the transition to unleaded fuel.
