Eurocopter Ec 155

The Eurocopter EC155 (now Airbus Helicopters H155) is a medium-lift passenger transport helicopter intended for civil aviation, introduced in 1999. The EC155 was developed and manufactured by Eurocopter, derived from the AS365 N3 Dauphin 2. The EC155 utilised twin Turbomeca Arriel 2C2 engines, powering the five-blade composite main rotor. Developing the new aircraft, the firm concentrated their attention on a freshly designed cabin, providing more comfort to passengers, and additional cargo space for luggage. Depending on configuration, the aircraft was made able to seat up to 13 passengers, and later even a VIP modification became optional. The helicopter is marketed for passenger, corporate or casualty transport, as well as offshore support.
