Piper Pilot 100i

Described as ‘the value priced addition to Piper’s trainer-class line-up’, the 100i comes with a price tag under $300,000. Despite its affordability, the aircraft boasts advanced features including a Garmin G3X glass cockpit, a 180hp Lycoming engine, and comfortable vinyl seats.

Announced two years ago, the Piper Pilot 100i received FAA type certification in December 2020 and deliveries began immediately, with eight aircraft delivered to launch customer American Flyers.

Ron Gunnarson, Piper’s sales representative, stated, “Introducing the Piper Pilot 100i to our training product line at an economically optimal price has enabled many flight schools to consider new aircraft purchases. We are seeing strong demand, with production for 2021 already sold out. We are currently conducting a US demo tour of the Pilot 100i, with orders extending into 2022.”

Standard features include the Garmin G3X flight deck and a 180hp Lycoming IO-360-B4A engine, offering a maximum cruise speed of 128ktas and a range of 522nm with a 45-minute reserve. The cabin, designed with input from flight instructors and students, is described as simple yet functional, crafted to withstand the demands of flight training.
